www.preteristradio.com UPDATES

I've just updated a number of links on the Preterist Radio homepage.

You will need to clear/refresh your browsers cache, cookies and history.

We now have a Livestream feed that is embeded on the homepage and begins playing automatically. Just below it is the archive of previous live broadcasts made available immediately after the broadcasts.

Our classic Preterist Radio feed is now an all teaching feed. For now it is a rotating schedule of the previous weeks live broadcasts. I will be working on bringing back a more scheduled teaching feed.

And then there is our music channel. AD70 Radio. For those of you that like my eclectic taste in music. I will be continually adding more and more music to this new broadcast feed. No teaching...Just music.

This was done in response to your feedback. Some like the music...Some don't. And everyone wanted more teaching.

This accomplishes that and makes an instant archive available through Livestream. Please we get the benefit of added exposure on Livestream.

And finally...This will free me up a little bit to focus on some local ministry opportunities which I will be sharing about shortly.

Thank you again for all your patience, support and prayers. I'm a little burnt out...But kinda glad to be done with the new options.

God Bless

Michael

The Only Thing Constant is Change...8-)

You have given us feedback...And we responded.

Preterist Radio now has 3 distinct channels to better serve your listening/viewing needs.

  1. AD70 Livestream - Audio/Video broadcasting that is archived and availible almost immediately after the finish of the broadcast.
  2. Classic Preterist Radio - Same thing as before...Just more teaching with less music. Royalty free music.
  3. AD70 Radio -  No Teaching. Just eclectic hand picked music for your pleasure...8-)

Many of you have requested that we increase the frequency of teachings heard on Preterist Radio. However some of you also like the music heard on the station. So to solve that problem, we now have in place a teaching channel and a music channel. And the best part is that this change will also save about $70 a month in licensing and streaming server fees.

Our new AD70 Livestream feed is located directly on the homepage of Preterist Radio and begins playing automatically. The added benefit of using this Livestream feed is that we can now broadcast both audio and video during the live broadcasts without you having to do a thing. Imagine being able to view program notes, PDF's and Power Points right from the stream automagically. We can do it now.

Another benefit of the AD70 Livestream is that you can now access the live broadcast archive copy within 5 minutes after the finish of the program. No more having to wait. Of course you will still have access to the complete archive in audio format at www.thepodcast.org.

There will be a few more changes to make. But it should be pretty self explanatory.

Cheers, Mike

Hairy Ticks Variety Show - This Week

First, Frank and myself would like to thank everyone for their feed back on this program.

Here's the thing though, it's more than just another program. And based upon the feedback we've been getting we've decided that we need to push back the official launch date at least a couple of weeks.

We don't want to rush anything with this project. Too many good ideas and now we're just trying to figure out how to fit it all in...8-)

In the meantime we will be getting on air at 6 A.M. Pacific each morning this week to share some more of our ideas. At some point this week we will also be testing out the new phone in system.

This is also where we would like to ask everyone to join in the discussion on the Hairy Ticks Facebook page. We don't want to overlook anything. We want to make sure we've explored all of the ideas.

One of the latest ideas was having a segment called, "Tick Talk." LoL...I would have never thought of that in 40 years. Thanks Peter.

And that's exactly why we need your input.

We will be broadcasting on both Preterist Radio and HairyTicks.com

Once we officially go live we will no longer be broadcasting it on Preterist Radio. There will be two different chat systems and we really don't want to confuse the two.

We wanna get this thing just right.

Thanks...Hairy & Tick...8-)

Internet Radio in the Car...It's About Time...LoL

So after broadcasting for a little over 2 years I finally decided to upgrade the radio in my car with one that can play Preterist Radio.

Having spent the first 10 years of life out of high school(the 90's) as an installer of car audio equipment, I watched many changes happen. However, price was not one of them.

To my shock as I went to purchase a unit that will play internet radio they start at just over $125. I was shocked. A radio of this quality 10 years ago with the ability to connect into an internet stream would have probably cost something in the range of $5-7,000.

Now I get to listen to my favorite internet radio broadcasts while out on the road...8-)

Happy New Year

What do "you" want to hear?

Let's pretend that we could have at least 3 different channels on AD70.NET.

Not just Preterist Radio as we've had it for the last 2 years now...But genre specific channels.

What genre's of music would you like to hear?

Classic Rock, Classical, Heavy Metal, Oldies, Big Band/Swing, etc.

Your opinion is valued greatly. Please use the comment option located below the post to voice your opinion.

Happy Anniversary Preterist Radio

Today officially marks the second anniversary of live broadcasting on Preterist Radio.

I want to thank each and every one of you that have helped me make this all possible. And in just 10 short minutes we will officially begin our 3rd year of broadcasting...8-)

Thanks again, Michael J Loomis
