Recently I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman by the name of Frank Speer. Some of you may be aware that he is the latest pastor to receive the left foot of fellowship from the leadership of the church where he has been the senior pastor for a number of years now. Oh the irony that his church asked him to prepare a study on Revelation in response to the claims of Harold Camping and then give him the boot when he came up with the right answer in response to Camping's claims.

Dr. Mark Hitchcock and Mr. Hank Hanegraaff debate the date of the Book of Revelation. The debate took place on December 10, 2007 at the annual Pre-Trib Study Group meeting in Dallas, TX. Dr. Hichcock will argue for the AD 95 date. Mr. Hanegraaff will argue for the AD 65 date. While the AD 95 date does not impact the futurist interpretive approach of Dr. Hitchcock's view, Mr. Hanegraaff preterist view requires an AD 65 date or his view of Revelation is rendered impossible.
