Iranian Pastor Faces Execution for Refusing to Recant Christian Faith

An Iranian pastor who has refused to renounce his Christian faith faces execution as early as Wednesday after his sentence was upheld by an Iranian court.

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who maintains he has never been a Muslim as an adult, has Islamic ancestry and therefore must recant his faith in Jesus Christ, the 11th branch of Iran's Gilan Provincial Court ruled. Iran's Supreme Court had ordered the trial court to determine whether Nadarkhani had been a Muslim prior to converting to Christianity.

The judges, according to the American Center for Law & Justice, demanded that Nadarkhani, 34, recant his Christian faith before submission of evidence. Though the judgment runs against current Iranian and international laws and is not codified in Iranian penal code, the judge stated that

Meet Frank Speer...Who Is This Guy?

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman by the name of Frank Speer. Some of you may be aware that he is the latest pastor to receive the left foot of fellowship from the leadership of the church where he has been the senior pastor for a number of years now. Oh the irony that his church asked him to prepare a study on Revelation in response to the claims of Harold Camping and then give him the boot when he came up with the right answer in response to Camping's claims.

The influence of Christianity and the Bible on information technology and how we read today.

On Facebook, I am friends with author Anne Rice. Well...At least her fan page anyways. One thing I really appreciate about her is that she is personally interacting with us(Way cool) and she's always posting articles that make you think. And this one really hit home this morning.

Please pay very close attention to what is not explicitly being said in this article.

Here is the key phrase that hit me like a ton of bricks. "nobody realized what a good idea it was until a very interesting group of people with some very radical ideas adopted it for their own purposes. Nowadays those people are known as Christians, and they used the codex as a way of distributing the Bible."

Christianity has changed and benefitted the world in many ways. In my mind this is simply more evidence of the Kingdom of God spreading and filling the whole Earth. Yes folks...Jesus is even Lord of technology...8-) Enjoy...

Something very important and very weird is happening to the book right now: It’s shedding its papery corpus and transmigrating into a bodiless digital form, right before our eyes. We’re witnessing the bibliographical equivalent of the rapture. If anything we may be

The Evangelicals Engaged In Spiritual Warfare

An emerging Christian movement that seeks to take dominion over politics, business and culture in preparation for the end times and the return of Jesus, is becoming more of a presence in American politics. The leaders are considered apostles and prophets, gifted by God for this role.

The international "apostolic and prophetic" movement has been dubbed by its leading American architect, C. Peter Wagner, as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). Although the movement is larger than the network organized by Wagner — and not all members describe themselves as part of Wagner's NAR — the so-called apostles and prophets of the movement have identifiable
