Found a Deaf Preterist Today

Actually...He found me. Kinda.

I recieved an email notification today via Google about this gentleman's videos. Here is his brief testimony.

Hi everyone, this is Saif Rasouli. I was a former Muslim. I converted from Islam to Christ in my heart through the blood of Christ on the 25th of August 2005. God is powerful to change my life since 2005. I am thankful to the Lord for guiding me to be saved through Jesus Christ. Praise Him! The reason of my participant is, I love to meet different deaf faces through this vlog site. God designed the servants of God to have wonderful Christian fellowships just like the epistles fellowshipped through the letters in the old time.

I don't know any specifics of his doctrinal distinctives. But then again I don't know sign language. If anyone that signs would like to check him out and give me some feedback, I would be eternally grateful...8-)

Elders

The following is a Q & A that I found on the internet. I found it very interesting and something that should seriously be considered. I am posting it with the permission of the author Jim Hopkins and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Elders

Question: I figure this question will open a new can of worms, but hey, what's new with this group?

We are studying "Identifying Marks Of The NT Church" in our Bible class in the congregation I am a part of. In our study, we have obviously come to discuss the office of elders. The sudies are quite typical from a church of Christ perspective with all the usual comments / debate. As of the past few months, I have

EARLY CHURCH FATHERS ON FIRST CENTURY FULFILLMENT - 07.25.2011

Jun04b
“Christ, he asserts, not merely opened, but broke in pieces the gates of brass, in order to make the prison useless; where there is neither door, nor bar, whosoever enters is not detained. What God destroys, who can set up again?

Earthly kings indeed set free prisoners, yet leave untouched the prison gates; but Christ broke in pieces the gates of brass. Christ went to the utterly black and joyless portion of hades, and turned it into heaven, transferring all its wealth, the race of man, into His royal treasury.

In this, too, Christ surpasseskings, for they send messengers, but He went in person to set the captives free. So again, he says: 'Our Lord, when He was in hades, set free all who were kept prisoners by death.'”

BROKEN PARADIGM of the JUDGMENT SEAT

Is This Place of Judgment Ever for Reward?

By Jeff "Miztah" Rogers

470_1721367

I have been taught for years from many pulpits that Christians will gain or lose reward at the "Bema" for years. But when I endeavored to do an independent study I can not validate what I have heard from the pulpit, so I have altered my position and I think the bible gets more and more clear the more we allow the New Covenant to determine our frame of reference for our interpretation. I invite your comments both pro and con.

I welcome

IS a PHYSICAL RETURN of CHRIST POSSIBLE or EVEN PROMISED?

By Jeff "Miztah" Rogers

Don't Cloud the Issue

470_1695959

A case is often made that Acts 1:9-11 is a clear reference to the physical nature of Christ's ascension. Therefore since it says that he would "come in the same manner" that his coming, it was insisted, would have to be physical.

"And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a CLOUD received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1:9-11I on the other hand take the position that
