Genesis Chapter One-Must Read and Watch and Listen

Thank you Bryan Davis for sending me this video. Bryan...This came at just the perfect time. I was just discussing this with another friend. And how this is all intertwined. From Genesis to Revelation. This fulfilled picture is just getting more beautiful every day. And I personally want to thank you Bryan for helping me understand how Chiasm and parallelisms work in general and specific.

It really hit me when the guy in the video below says that the creation story is the same story being told TWO different ways. Which seems to be the natural conclusion to The John-Revelation Project.

The Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation. One story being told TWO different ways.

When you realize that Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation were both written at the same time. Like two railroad tracks with ties all throughout. From beginning to end. And to a lesser extent as reverse parallelisms as well. When you look at these two books in this light the two begin to intertwine in an almost magical way.

This was demonstrated to my by Dr. Warren Gage of Knox Theological Seminary in Florida. In a recent email exchange with him, I asked him Regarding the John-Revelation project.

"Jesus' Earthly ministry was approximately 3.5 years from what I can tell. Revelation speaks of a 3.5 year period. I know some people say Revelation's fulfillment is future. Some say it is past, circa AD70. Is it possible that John and Revelation are talking about that same 3.5 year period?" And his exact answer was..."I have had the same thought myself, but I haven’t worked to substantiate it. I take the minority view that Revelation was written in AD 60-65 and is a prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem. So I don’t think it is impossible that the two books are speaking about the same thing."

Do you see that. First off he's a preterist. I'm thinking of a more postmillenial partial preterist view. However with his following answer it's only a matter of time before he see's the natural conclusion. He's had the same thought as me. I've finally found someone that has validated what I've been seeing for the last 18 months. Yet wasn't able to verbalize or write it out well. I just knew that I was seeing it.

I was seeing Jesus' earthly ministry all over the Book of Revelation. And it has actually been validated for the past 10 years. And both futurist and partial preterist detractors to this project see the natural conclusion of first century fulfillment. The partial preterist argued that this couldn't be right because then full preterism would be true. And the futurist argued that this couldn't be right because then the Gospel of John would still be in the future.

Scholarship all across the board seem to be in agreement with what Dr. Warren Gage discovered by overlapping the two books in the Greek text. Demonstrating that they are direct parallelisms and would have been written at the same time. And that you CANNOT interpret one apart from the other. They are to be interpreted as parallels. Not as two different storys. Or timelines in my opinion. One story being told two different ways.

Please listen to Dr. Gage's presentation on this topic from the 2006 National Meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society. He really hits the nail on the head in my opinion. It is well worth listening to.

Below is the video I mentioned at the beginning of this post. This guy makes a very interesting point that Bryan Davis and I have been seeing for quite some time. The parallelisms are EVERYWHERE. Right at 57 seconds he makes the whole point of this presentation in my opinion. Have a listen. Or like me you might listen to it 6-7 times. LoL.

The first chapter of Genesis records the days of creation. However, this account is not a scientific disortation, but a beautiful Hebrew song.

I'm also going to speak with Frank about the possibility of him interviewing me on the topic on an upcoming episode of the Hairy Ticks Variety Show. So we can really start taking a look at this. This has some really serious implications.

I have no axe to grind here guys. I'm just trying to present as much information as possible so you all can see this as well. It's fascinating...Yet a little frightning.

I'm going to be pressing this issue to see if it be true. And I'm not going to stop until I'm convinced one way or the other. And I would really appreciate as much interaction on this topic as possible. We need to get our eyes and ears on this.

If we've missed a major interpretive key in the beginning and the end of the story then, "We got some splainin to do...LUUUUCCCYYY!!!" LoL...8-)

I don't want this to be something anyone might think I'm trying to brew up in private. I'm not. I would love nothing more than every eye in the preterist movement to be on this.

But if you've got a certain theological perspective that you really want to hold on tight to...You might not want to waste your time.

I pray that this will do for you what it has done for me. It's like another layer in the puzzle. Adding more dimension and light to the story from Genesis to Revelation.

The best benefit of all, if this is right. It will virtually wipe futurism off the map. And it will be very easy to see.

UPDATE - Facebook Stalkers - PLEASE READ

I've had my suspicions over the last year or two when a rather unusually hot looking preterist woman wants to add me as a friend. Well...This morning curiosity got the best of me. Let me share the things that tipped me off.

1. Only one profile picture. The rest are just random if there are any more at all.

2. None, or very few articles of any substance that weren't copied and pasted or shared from someone elses page.

3. Personal responses are very short and frequently misspelled.

4. And they tend to not have family or close friends or school mates.

If you are a preterist woman that is part of a private group...PLEASE use discretion as to whom you add to your PRIVATE group. Make sure you know who you are admitting into the group. Time to tighten things up a little.

My initial thought was that these profiles are or were possibly non preterists posing as preterists to be a part of the inner workings of our community. Like the Apostle Paul said, "Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery." Maybe wanting to keep a close eye on the inner social aspects of our community in general.

However...As the day has gone on and more information has come to light. Like many more accounts that fit the above profile perfectly. I'm actually beginning to believe that the following scenario might be the case.

That there is one individual within the preterist movement that is creating these accounts to build up their reputation in some way. Possibly to make it look like they have a following. In some way adding to their credibility. And in some instances this individual may have been using these alter egos as well to influence other woman by painting that individual in a very attractive light.

Please pray with me that this is not the case. Already at least one of the offending accounts has been removed. I suspect more to come.

But please...Remember those four tips up above should help you determine for yourself.

Unmet Expectations and Temptations...

...cannot exist in a Christian world and life view. Or let me just say should not exist in a Christian world and life view. And as Christians we should have no other expectation in life other than to expect that temptation will be with us until the day we die.

Have you ever been surprised when you've succumbed to a temptation in the past. Not likely. We Christians tend to understand how the cycle works. From germination in the heart. To well laid plans in the mind. Ultimately to temptation's fulfillment.

We see the signs on our way to the edge of the cliff. And what do we often do? We keep following the signs succumbing to temptations fulfillment.

However, I think we've misunderstood the purpose of these signs.

Please consider the following passage.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

You see that. Those signs we see on our way to fulfillment aren't only pointing the way TO fulfillment, but they are also EXIT SIGNS.

I pray today that each and every one of us be mindful of the signs that God has given us. He has not left us alone. He has not left us without numerous exits on our way to fulfillment of temptation.

Be mindful of all things today. And tomorrow. And the next day. Die daily...Be made new daily. Continue to stay plugged into the Way.

The End is NOT Near

Revelation 9:16...Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.

Looks like they got about another 140 million horses to go. Better luck next time Mr. LaHaye.

World horse population estimated at 58 million

Ten countries in the world have a horse population of more than a million, with the total global equine population estimated at 58 million, according to a report compiled by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAOSTAT). New Zealand horse numbers, for 2006, are estimated at 77,000, and Australia's at 221,000.

According to the 2006 report, there are 58,372,106 horses in the world. The United States, by far, reports the highest total number of horses with an approximate 9,500,000. This new data provided by FAOSTAT is similar to the American Horse Council's own independent study, which reported a US horse population of 9,223,000 in 2005.

The figures for Europe show the Russian Federation as having the most horses, at 1,319,358, followed by Romania (834,000), then Ukraine (585,000), Germany (500,400), France (422,872). The United Kindom is estimated at 185,000.

Other than the Russian Federation, countries with horse population totals over one million included: China (7,402,450); Mexico (6,260,000); Brazil (5,787,249); Argentina (3,655,000); Columbia (2,533,621); Mongolia (2,029,100); Ethiopia (1,655,383); and Kazakhstan (1,163,500). Guam (20) and Grenada (30) had the lowest population totals. Two countries, Rwanda and Saint Helena, reported a zero horse population.

In the US, the AHC has published a document entitled "The Economic Impact of the Horse Industry on the United States", which provides detailed analysis on the total population of US horses by state. Texas reports the largest horse population, with an estimated 978,822. Other leading states include: California (698,345); Florida (500,124); Oklahoma (326,134); Kentucky (320,173); Ohio (306,898); and Missouri (281,255). The state with the fewest horses is Rhode Island (3,509), followed by the District of Columbia, which reports a fluctuating total of around 33.

The AHC's report further demonstrates that the horse industry has a direct impact of $39 billion on the US economy and an overall impact of $102 billion, which factors in indirect and induced spending. Each of the primary use segments of the industry, recreational horse use being the largest segment with 3.9 million horses in this classification, creates an immense impact on the overall economy. Additionally, the horse industry supports 1.4 million equivalent full-time jobs.

Found a Deaf Preterist Today

I recieved an email notification today via Google about this gentleman's videos. Here is his brief testimony.

The Two Witnesses of Revelation

John 15:18-24 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. ¹⁹If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ²⁰Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. ²¹But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. ²²If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. ²³He who hates Me hates My Father also. ²⁴If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

Jesus makes it pretty clear in this passages that His words and deeds were able to convict these people that were rejecting Him.

Would Jesus' words and deed's not be TWO WITNESSE'S against these people?

Prayer Request and Praise for the Cole Family

This last week our friend Gary Cole from Midland Texas, lost his job of 15 years. Gary, Anita and Ana are all rejoicing knowing that God is in control. Please pray for God's direction and leading for a new job for Gary Cole and for his family as they wait upon the Lord.

Fortunately for Gary the job market is really strong in the West Texas area. Minus one job for Gary of course...8-)

Gary also wanted me to tell all of you out there that there is plenty of work in the West Texas area for those that have experience in the oil industry.

And if you've never met Gary and Anita's daughter, here she is. Just turned 16.

I would like to thank Mike Loomis and all who have directly or indirectly been following along in the parallelism / chiasm journey over the last couple years. It has been stimulating and challenging in every turn.

I will be receiving an ongoing treatment for a health issue for a period of six months resulting in a compromised state of being. Therefore I will not be able to continue “The Journey“ broadcasts on Mondays . I covet your prayers as I embark on this next stage of my journey.

You, as a community, have greatly surpassed my expectations as a people who love the Word of God, love and respect one another, and are generally hungry for the good things of God. I wish you Gods speed.

Rearranging my Bible

Does the ordering of the books of the New Testament affect the flow of the story being told?

Just kinda struck me as I was sitting here tonight considering the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New Testament because of an email I received from Tim Martin.

As you can see from the picture above, I'm already a Hairy Tick. So what the heck...Let's do this.

Genesis one is at the beginning of the Old Testament. It is the beginning of the old creation. I don't think anyone would dare suggest that it be located anywhere else in the Old Testament.

Then I thought...Why isn't John one opening up the narrative of the New Testament. It is the beginning of the new creation.

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Then in the final words of the "Neo-Genesis(Gospel of John)," we read, "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written, Amen.

And then if the Gospel of Matthew were to follow John as book two in the N.T. it would seem appropriate for Matthew to then open up with, "The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of..."

And so...IF...The Gospel of John...The Neo-Genesis were placed at the opening of the New Testament, it would almost turn the final words in the Gospel of John into an ongoing prophecy of us filling the world with books on Jesus...Ohhhh...Say like the Bible? And every other Christian publication over the last 2000 years?

Me thinks I might invoke my right to imminent domain over my Bible and relocate John forward just a few books. Otherwise why not move Genesis to the number 4 position in the Old Testament?

Think about it...Look at Exodus One. It reads a lot like Matthew One.

Exodus 1:1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt; each man and his household came with Jacob:

Matthew 1:1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob.
